Geely Ignition System Components – Ignition Coils, Coil on Plug, Ignition Control Modules & Spark Plug Wire Sets

We are a specialized wholesale supplier of  Geely ignition system components, delivering precision-matched ignition coilscoil on plug unitsignition control modules, and spark plug wire sets for the full Geely passenger vehicle range — including Coolray (Binyue)Azkarra / Monjaro (Xingyue L)Emgrand, and the Geometry series.

The ignition system's job is simple in concept but demanding in execution: generate a spark hot and strong enough to ignite the compressed air-fuel mixture, exactly when the ECU commands it, millions of times over the vehicle's life. When an ignition coil weakens — delivering less than the required 40kV under load — the result is misfire under acceleration, rough idle, increased fuel consumption, and eventually a flashing check engine light.

Our Geely ignition coil inventory covers all common configurations on Geely engines. The coil on plug (COP) design — also called a pencil coil — mounts directly on top of each spark plug, eliminating the high-tension lead and delivering the strongest, most precise spark. This is the dominant design on Coolray's 1.5T turbo and Monjaro's 2.0T engines. For Emgrand models using a waste spark ignition layout, we supply paired ignition coil packs where one coil fires two cylinders. For older Geely models with distributor-based systems, we stock ignition coil modules and complete spark plug wire sets with OEM-spec resistance, insulation rating, and terminal boots.

Beyond coils and wires, we also supply the ignition control module (ICM) — the electronic unit that receives the ECU's trigger signal and drives the ignition coil primary circuit. An intermittently failing ICM causes hot-engine stalling that leaves no fault code and is often misdiagnosed as a fuel pump or crank sensor issue.

Every Geely ignition coil we ship is tested for primary and secondary winding resistance, insulation breakdown voltage, and actual spark output under load. The epoxy resin encapsulation is vacuum-filled to eliminate internal air bubbles that cause corona discharge and premature coil failure.

Technical Parameters

Note: Specific specs vary by Geely model, production year and engine configuration; please contact us with your vehicle’s VIN or part number for accurate matching and detailed parameters.

Key Technical Parameters:
  • Material & Construction: High-grade copper core for splitfire spark plugs, epoxy resin insulation for ignition coils, and heat-resistant ceramic components.
  • Ignition Coils: Best ignition coils feature high energy output (≥40kV) and fast response time; high performance ignition coils offer enhanced spark intensity for improved combustion efficiency, compatible with Geely’s original engine management systems.
  • Splitfire Spark Plugs: Multi-electrode design for stable ignition, wide heat range (550°C-950°C), and long service life (≥100,000 km); available with tapered seat or gasket seat options.
  • Spark Plugs Thread Repair Kit: Includes precision thread inserts, installation tools, and anti-seize compound, compatible with standard spark plug thread sizes (M14×1.25) for easy repair of damaged threads.
  • Performance Standards: All ignition components meet GB and ECE standards, with working temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, and undergo strict quality testing for durability and reliability.

Why Source Geely Ignition Coils From Us

Actual Spark Output Tested
A coil that measures correct resistance on a bench multimeter can still deliver weak spark under compression. We load-test every Geely ignition coil batch on a spark tester calibrated to simulate cylinder pressure, verifying that the actual kilovolt output meets the 40kV minimum. A coil that passes resistance but fails spark output is rejected before it reaches your inventory.

Correct Coil for the Engine Code
The COP coil for a Coolray 1.5T (GEP3 engine) is not interchangeable with the COP coil for a Monjaro 2.0T (JLE-4G20TD engine) — even if the connector fits. Mismatched primary inductance causes dwell time errors and weak spark. Our VIN and engine code matching ensures the correct coil variant every time.

ICM Failure Pattern Knowledge
An ignition control module that fails only when hot is one of the most difficult parts to diagnose — the engine stalls, cools down, restarts, and the technician finds no fault codes. We stock ICMs for the Geely engines known to experience this failure pattern and can advise on symptoms that distinguish an ICM fault from a crank sensor or fuel pump issue.

Vacuum-Sealed Encapsulation
Moisture and air pockets inside the epoxy encapsulation are the leading cause of internal corona discharge and carbon tracking in ignition coils. Our Geely pencil coils are vacuum-encapsulated and X-ray inspected for internal voids, delivering a service life that matches the original part.
