This is achieved through the passive pre-chamber combustion technology – a technology GWM is the first in China to apply to a production gasoline engine. The passive pre-chamber acts as a “flame accelerator” – a small chamber around the spark plug amplifies the ignition energy before delivering it to the main combustion chamber, creating multiple ignition points for ultra-fast combustion that tolerates higher EGR rates and leaner mixtures.

    The EB platform also features VGT (Variable Geometry Turbocharger) for balanced low-speed and high-speed performance, and supports dual-platform development – both conventional and hybrid powertrains.

The HY4C20B features a 350-bar high-pressure direct injection system with six-nozzle injectors capable of up to three injection events per cycle.     EN Platform – The Efficiency Champion (Miller Cycle)

    The EN platform is GWM‘s first mass-production Miller cycle engine. It represents a generational leap from the EC platform – the direct successor to the 4C20 series.

    The EN platform’s 2.0T engines (such as 4N20 and 4N20A) achieve a world-class 38.3% thermal efficiency. The high-power 4N20A delivers 180 kW and 385 N·m of torque, while the low-power 4N20 offers 150 kW and 320 N·m.

    The HY6Z30 is a 3.0-litre V6 with a 60-degree V-angle, delivering 260 kW of power and 500 N·m of peak torque. Low-end torque is an exceptional 340 N·m at just 1,000 rpm – a critical feature for off-road and heavy-duty applications.

    Every 6Z30 engine is equipped with a 48V BSG motor, and when paired with the P2 hybrid 9HAT transmission, the system delivers up to 750–800 N·m of peak torque. The engine achieves 38.5% thermal efficiency with a BSFC as low as 219.6 g/kWh – exceptional for a V6.
